And That’s the Stories: 2024 Edition

It’s been a wild but productive year for me, with eight new short stories published. I keep putting aside the novel I’m trying to write so I can write short stories instead. I should finish it eventually–if I can stay away from interesting open calls!

Weird Fiction Quarterly became my home away from home for 500-word flash fiction. I had stories appear in all four of this year’s issues: Winter Red in Monsters 2024, Wanting in Folk Horror 2024, Detour in Road Trip 2024, and Strings Attached in Masquerade 2024.

I also had four longer stories published: And You, Their Best Beloved appeared in Dracula Beyond Stoker Issue 4: The Brides of Dracula; Come Not Between appeared in the anthology Here There Be Dragons; Needs Must, appeared on the podcast Tales to Terrify Episode 645; and Thirsty Work appeared in The Fabulist Words & Art.

And in addition to all that, my second collection, Seven Stars: Collected Stories, with a gorgeous cover by Don Noble, was released by Trepidatio Publishing just in time for the holidays!

As of now I have three more stories that will be published in the new year. Hopefully, there will be plenty more to report in the near future!
